Wow. I have never heard of the ‘bring a friend,’ concept, but it does not surprise me. And, yes! The list of things not acceptable in adoptive parents for China was discouraging; I remember ‘no facial disfiguration,’ and ‘no limbs lost,’ and ‘no obesity.’ Those things don’t make an unfit parent, and neither does being a single, unmarried woman.
